We are dedicated to TEACHING the art of swimming and PERFECTING the game of racing!!

AGE GROUP - This level allows for an intensified practice environment for an experienced young swimmer or a rapidly advancing swimmer. Fundamentals continue to be emphasized in a cyclical fashion at this level - but training physiology elements (power, speed, muscular and aerobic endurance) are also introduced. 

We offer three AGE GROUP training groups: Age Group 1, Age Group 2, and Age Group 3

The primary coaches for the Age Group training groups are Amy Howard and Chrissie Callis.

Age Group 1 trains at the Deer Run facility, as does Age Group 2. These groups are largely interchangeable in terms of capabilities, mostly due to schools (daily) ending times. Lanes are established to allow a progressive experience during the practices. 

Age Group 1 practice schedule: 4-5 practices are recommended per week

Monday - Friday: 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm (Age Group 2 can attend here, too)

Saturday: 8:00 am - 9:45 am

Dryland - Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 4:45 pm - 5:20 pm

 

Age Group 2 practice schedule: 4-5 practices are recommended per week

Monday - Friday: 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm (Age Group 1 can attend here, too)

Saturday: 8:00 am - 9:45 am

Dryland - Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 3:50 pm - 4:25 pm (TCMS students join upon arrival)

 

Age Group 3 trains at our Evergreen facility. There is continued emphasis on fundamental techniques in this training group. More intricate strategies fo rthe longer and more difficult events are introduced. Practice sessions are increased in length and in the number expected per week. This allows for improved physiological adaptations in muscular and aerobic endurance.

Age Group 3 practice schedule: 5-6 practices are recommended per week

Monday - Friday: 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Saturday: 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Dryland - Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 4:40 pm - 5:20 pm
