Virginia Gators Swim Club

The Virginia Gators Swim Club is a confederation of developmental swim teams that promote personal excellence through competitive swimming.

In Central Virginia, we offer teams in Charlottesville at the Fairview Pool, Crozet at the Crozet Park Aquatic Fitness Center, and Waynesboro at the Waynesboro YMCA. The teams are separate entities, but provide an enhanced swimmer experience through a cooperative framework.

The Bean Pot
 A Scholarship Fund
J.J. Bean, Head Coach, The Virginia Gators of Charlottesville

The Bean Pot was established as a way to pay tribute to Virginia Gator swim coach, JJ Bean. It's an honorary fund to financially support Virginia Gator swimmers whose families are unable to pay the required fees. The fund may be used to pay dues, meet fees or to purchase equipment. There are no restrictions on the funds other than the swimmer or the family of the swimmer finds paying the fees a financial hardship. The intention is that the Bean Pot be primarily funded by Gator alumni swimmers.

The Virginia Gators of Charlottesville invites you to support our non-profit swim club with a donation—an investment for the benefit of our local youth. We are dedicated to the promotion and encouragement of the sport of swimming—a lifelong and lifesaving skill. With your donation, you will join the many businesses and individuals who have chosen to benefit central Virginia's area youth. Your contributions are vital! Our program fulfills an important community purpose, we hope that we can count on you.
