NOVA Reaches Out - Ruby F. Carver Elementary School Partnership
NOVA signed a partnership agreement with Ruby F. Carver Elementary School in May 2014. Carver is located less than two miles from NOVA. As an official partner of the school, we have involved students in our summer swim lessons program with movin' mania, provided support for teachers and the administration, and helped at school events by providing volunteers. We will continue to build our relationship with this school over time.
On February 6, 2015, Carver held an 80s Flashback Party. NOVA volunteers helped with running games, centers, and selling popcorn. Thanks to Coach Diane for working with her groups to provide volunteers, and thanks to our swimmers for supporting Carver!
