Practice Schedule

Practices are a very important part of swim team. While participation is not mandatory, we encourage swimmers to attend as many practices as possible, giving swimmers the best chance to improve throughout the season!

Practice are drop off and pick only, no parents or sibling allowed on deck.

Following are tentative practices times for the 2021 season: 

Afternoon Practices (During School):  May 11 - June 22 (Mon-Thurs)     *Sharkies begins May 11

Sharkies 4:30pm - 5:00pm
8 & Under 5pm - 5:45pm
9-10 year olds 5:30pm - 6:30pm
11-12 year olds 6:15pm - 7:15pm
13 & Over 7pm - 8pm

 

Morning Practices (Summer): June 23 - July 16 (Mon-Fri)
15 & Over 7:30am - 8:30am
13-14 year olds 8:15am - 9:15am
11-12 year olds 9am - 10am
9-10 year olds 9:45am - 10:45am
8 & Under 10:45am - 11:30am
Sharkies 11:30am - 12pm

 

The workouts vary and the coaches are responsible for all activities associated with the workouts and may tailor the difficulty and duration for each group. In general, workouts consist of dry land training, a long warm-up swim, and then shorter sets. Coaches will work on technique in each stroke, starts and turns, as well as behavior and teamwork. There will be a strong emphasis on stroke technique and drills.
