    • Swimmers with a cough or fever will not be allowed to swim.  Temperature-checks and health assessments will occur prior to each practice.  Any swimmer with a temperature of 100.4 F or above, will be sent home.
    • Coaches will monitor swimmers at practice and may provide additional assessments by asking some or all of the following questions:

      • Have you had a fever in the last 48 hours?

      • Have you had vomiting or diarrhea in the last 48 hours?
      • If a swimmer answers 'yes' to any of these questions, they will be sent home.  Should a swimmer be sent home for any of these reasons, the Vashon Community Pool staff will be notified immediately and all 'high-touch' surfaces will be disinfected.
    • A swimmer showing symptoms should not return until they have been symptom-free for 72 hours.
    • Following current CDC guidelines, any swimmer that has traveled by air or out-of-state should quarantine for 10 days.
    • In the event of a confirmed COVID-19 case by a Seals swimmer, the Vashon Community Pool staff will be notified immediately and coaches will review to determine if any lapses in social distancing may have taken place involving the contracted swimmer.  We will follow the guidance of Vashon MRC for all testing, tracing and quarantine recommendations.
    • Facial masks and 6 feet of social distancing are required by everyone unless swimming. This includes the parking lot.
