July 7-10 saw 13 Mako Aquatics swimmers travel to Minneapolis, MN to attend Speedo Sectionals, the first meet the Long Course Championship Season and achieved 48% personal best times. The weekend of June 25-27 saw 23 Mako Aquatics swimmers travel to Rochester, MN to attend the final regular season meet the Long Course Season. At the RSC meet the swimmers achieved 65% personal best times under heavy training. 20 Mako Aquatics swimmers and coaches headed to the UofM for the Genesis June Invitational where the team raced to 70% personal best times LCM and friends and family were welcomed back to the stands as spectators. Notable swims included double digit percentage time drops from Dane Dow (11.25% 200 free), Ethan Finch (20.63% 100 fly, 11.37% 200 free), Taylor Matter (12.51% 400 IM), Mary Prescott (11.84% 200 free). From Mar 10 - Apr 18, 2021 Minnesota Swimming athletes participated in a series of meets where the results were consolidated into final placings and scoring. Mako Aquatics swimmers competed at 3 Minnesota meets - Aquajets, Neptune and Rochester. Final results from the Series can be found here. 9 up and coming Mako Aquatics age group athletes and Coach Jen traveled to St. Petersburg, FL to attend the ISCA Showcase Classic March 31-April 3, 2021 after a 3 year hiatus. 7 Mako Aquatics National Team members and 2 coaches traveled to St. Petersburg, FL to attend the ISCA International Senior Cup March 21-27, 2021 where they competed alongside International and USA Olympians.
