48 Mako Aquatics swimmers officially kicked off the competition part of the season at our team hosted Fall Flip Turn Meet . The meet format for awarded High Point trophy (trophies to be distributed to winners the week of 10/21) to the top 3 in each age division. There were great swims from all of our swimmers and overall they came away with 55% personal best times. August 5-11, 14 Mako athletes (4 making their first trip) traveled to the 2019 NCSA Summer Championships (Junior Nationals) in Indianapolis, IN at the storied IUPUI Natatorium to compete against some of the best 18 and under swimmers in the nation. 10 Mako Aquatics athletes achieved at least 1 personal best time in an individual event with another 2 achieving their best relays splits at this high pressure meet. We had four athletes make it back to finals as well as having the 200 Medley and 800 Free Relays score....

This past weekend 20 Mako Aquatics Senior swimmers and their coaches traveled to the University of Minnesota to participate in the 2019 Senior Long Course State Meet where our swimmers had an outstanding meet with many achieving new Champ and NCSA and USA Junior National time standards. Additionally, five 14& under Mako Aquatics swimmers traveled to Fargo, ND as part of Team Minnesota to participate in the 2019 Central Zone Championships. This past weekend 25 Mako Aquatics 14 & under swimmers and their coaches traveled to the Rochester to participate in the 2019 14 & Under Long Course State Meet where our swimmers had an outstanding meet with many achieving new Zone and Junior National time standards. This past weekend 24 Mako Aquatics swimmers and coaches traveled to Winona to participate in the 2019 Long Course MRC Meet where our swimmers competed successfully with many moving on to the State Meet in new events. 14 Mako Aquatics swimmers kicked off the Championship Season this weekend at our team hosted Minnesota Achievement Championships with great success! In the 2 day meet for our Mako swimmers, they had 78 splashes and 58 new or personal best times, representing 74% of the total swims. The following Time Standards were achieved: 15 MRC and 34 C. 28 Mako Aquatics swimmers travelled to Iowa City, Iowa for the annual Swim Pink Invitational, where proceeds of entry fees are contributed to support families impacted by cancer. On June 16, 2019, 18 Mako Aquatics athletes participated in the 2019 Star St. Paul Summer Classic Invitational. This was the first outdoor long course meet of the 2019 LCM season. Mako Aquatics athletes swam 75 splashes and posted 48 personal best time (48%). Results show our athletes achieved the following standards: A-2, BB-20, C-15, CH-6, MRC-16.
