March 5-8, 2020 29 Mako athletes traveled to the University of Minnesota to participate in the 2020 Short Course Senior State Championships where there were a total of 650 athletes (360 Women, 290 Men). The weekend of February 28-March 1, 2020 Mako Aquatics athletes travelled to Rochester, Minnesota to participate in the 2020 Short Course MRC Meet where 45 of our swimmers competed successfully with many moving on to the State Meet with new Championship times or "Win it and Swim it" swims. 25 Mako Aquatics swimmers kicked off the 202 Championship Season with an outstanding 2020 Minnesota Achievement Championships hosted by RFSC at our home pool this past weekend. Based on the results we had 133 splashes and 106 personal best times representing 80% of the total swims. After a couple of weeks of heavy training coming off of Schroeder; 28 Mako Aquatics swimmers travelled to Rochester, Minnesota the weekend of February 14-16, 2020 to compete in the Vince Herring Classic Meet. Mako swimmers swam well with many personal bests and new qualifying times achieved. Mako swimmers had 98 personal best times, representing 44% of the total swims. February 2, 2020 11 Mako Aquatics athletes participated in the Star Super Bowl Bash Meet at the St. Catherine’s University Butler Center Pool. Mako swimmers attending had an outstanding meet. There were 43 Splashes and 32 personal best times representing 74% of the total swims. Mako swimmers posted many new MAC and MRC qualifying times, as well as a State Champ time for Sherman Holmstadt in the 13-14 100 back. Results have been posted. Congratulations to all that attended.

January 31 - February 2, 2020, 23 Mako Aquatics swimmers travelled to Brown Deer, Wisconsin to compete in the 40th Annual Schroeder A+ Meet. Mako swimmers had a great meet with many personal bests, new qualifying times achieved and a new Meet Record. In the 46 team competition, Mako Aquatics was 14th in the combined Team race and 15th Women's and Men's team races. 20 Mako Aquatics swimmers travelled to Minnetonka to compete in the MTKA TYR Team Challenge Prelim/Final Meet. The meet format restricted each participating team to 4 swimmers per event with the top 16 moving into Finals for potential scoring. Due to a chlorine leak early Sunday the meet was delayed and ultimately completed as a Timed Final Session instead of Prelims/Finals.
