Vince Herring Meet Results Posted

After another week marred by practice cancellations due to snow; 28 Mako Aquatics swimmers travelled to Rochester, Minnesota the weekend of February 15-17, 2019 to compete in the Vince Herring Classic Meet. Mako swimmers swam well with many personal bests and new qualifying times achieved. Mako swimmers had 104 personal best times, representing 48% of the total swims.

The following swimmers achieved new Championship Meet qualifying times:

Gabby Vitela 400 IM (4:31.57) NCSA JRs Bonus

Melissa Parker 200 Free (1:52.64) NCSA JRs, 100 Fly (58.18) NCSA JRs Bonus

Ellery Ottem 200 Free (1:52.79) NCSA JRs

Evie Wood 100 Back (58.67), 200 Back (2:06.69) & 200 Breast (2:24.16) NCSA JRs Bonus

Additionally, the following relays qualified for NCSA JRs:

  • Men’s 200/400 B Medley Relay
  • Women’s 200/400 B Free Relay

17-18 Girls Gabby Vitela – 200 IM (2:11.75), 400 IM (4:31.57)

15-16 Boys Steven Asmus 200 fly (1:58.52)

17-18 Boys Logan McLaughlin 400 IM (4:26.31)

13-14 Girls 200 Free Relay (1:40.44) (Lucy DuPont, Evie Wood, Anika Wright, Ellery Ottem)

Ellery Ottem moves into the 17th spot in the country in the 200 free and the 12th spot in the country for 13 year old girls.
