MN STATE CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS POSTED

March 7-10, 2019 47 Mako athletes traveled to the University of Minnesota to participate in the 2019 Short Course State Championships. Results have been uploaded and can be found in My Results. 

Mako swimmers found themselves on the podium dozens of times including Individual State Champions: 

Sven Becker (200 free, 100 back, 200 back, 100 free)

Ellery Ottem (200 free, 100 free)

Sydney Rogness( 400 IM, 200 IM)

Relay State Champions:

13-14 Boys 400/800 Free (Sven Becker, Andrew Hanson, Taylor Matter, Theo Johansen)

Individual High Point Award Winners:

13-14 Girls – Ellery Ottem (2nd)

13-14 Boys - Sven Becker (2nd)

In addition, Jaydon Cunningham acheived a bonus NCSA cut in the 200 IM, Melissa Parker a bonus cut in the 500 free and Andrew Hanson his first Speedo Sectional cut in the 1650

All the above and a total of 250+ individual splashes resulted in Mako Aquatics finishing 1st in the AA Division and 6th overall in Team Standings. Additionally, the 13-14 boys finished 2nd.
