2019 NCSA Summer Championships

August 5-11, 14 Mako athletes (4 making their first trip) traveled to the 2019 NCSA Summer Championships (Junior Nationals) in Indianapolis, IN at the storied IUPUI Natatorium to compete against some of the best 18 and under swimmers in the nation. 10 Mako Aquatics athletes achieved at least 1 personal best time in an individual event with another 2 achieving their best relays splits at this high pressure meet.  
We had four athletes make it back to finals as well as having the 200 Medley and 800 Free Relays score. At this meet the top 32 athletes from prelims return for finals with the top 24 scoring. The Women finished 27th with 89 points improving on their 2018 performance of 35th with 46 points.

A special congratulations to Sven Becker who, based on his performance at the meet, was one of three 14&under males invited to participate in the 2019 NCSA Training Camp to be held September 20-25, 2019 at the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO.
