MAC Swim League Returns

MSL Returns!

What is the MSL? We created the MAC Swim League (MSL) to keep our competitive racing spirit challenged during last summer’s return to the pool and we are bringing it back to the 2021-22 Short Course for Season 2!

Are there teams within the MSL? Yes! There are 4 teams - Red Raptors, White Unicorns,  Black Dragons and Blue Sharks

Can my swimmer be a part of this? Definitely! All MAC swimmers will be on one of the listed teams above. Each team has a Team Manager (coach) and two Captains (senior male & female swimmer). Teams will be announced by Monday, Oct 11th.

What is the format?  The season will bring a mix of scoring options.

  • Intrasquad meets and regular season meets will be counted
  • Points will be awarded for both place scoring and for a swimmer’s improvement
  • Highest point scoring team takes the MSL Championship Cup at the end of the season

Will intrasquad meet times be official? That depends on parents like you!

  • In order for our meets to have your swimmer’s times recorded and “count” toward their swim record, the meets must be officiated by certified USA Officials.
  • If you are already an official, awesome! We will need you.
  • If you are not an official, but look in awe at the beautiful white shirts and blue pants not to mention the great meet hospitality, consider volunteering now for your swimmer and the team. The next Officials Clinic is virtual on October 13. See our Events page for sign up. This is a great setting and opportunity to be a part of your swimmer’s world and help them by having their achievements official. No experience is necessary to become an official. See our Volunteer page for more information.
