If you have not received your recommended group level, please email Janis at [email protected] We welcome new swimmers throughout the season. Please read below for more information.

Our goal is to help nurture athletes to develop confidence, respect, discipline and dedication that will help them be successful in life. We provide swimmers of all ages and abilities the opportunity to participate in the sport and to provide a lifelong enjoyment of swimming.

Minimum requirements to join the beginning swim team group is the ability to swim 25 yards freestyle and 25 yards backstroke. We have a variety of options for swimmers of all abilities. If you are unsure if your child is ready for the swim team, email Janis Katz, MAC Business Manager at [email protected] for more information and/or to set up an evaluation.

Fall/Winter Tentative Practice Schedule (updated 8/26) - The schedule linked here is listed as “tentative” and you might ask what exactly that means. We strive to provide a consistent schedule year-round; however, we rent from several facilities and there are situations that come up during the season that can alter the schedule. We do not anticipate changes many changes beyond this, but we do recommend using this as a guide. While this is “tentative”, the daily practice schedule is always posted and updated in real time on the MAC website within the Team Calendar section of our website.

Meet Schedule - The "X" on the schedule is intended to note the meet recommended for a specific group. The coaches thoughtfully select meets for each group for appropriateness and when they are during the training cycle for competitiveness. The Meet Schedule is listed as tentative due to the Covid-19. Teams and faciities continue to adjust during this time and we continously look for the best meets for our swimmers. In addition, we can get invited to a meet during the season which will change the competition schedule.

Program Fees - Seasona Fees are linked here. Please read the information below for more detail regarding fees.

Group Levels - We are happy to return to our swim groups and have made a few adjustments this season to improve organization and give swimmers more options and opportunities to advance. MAC’s philosophy is centered around long term athlete development. With this philosophy, our athletes have experienced much success. Each group has a progression plan to help swimmers reach their goals and succeed.

MAC's Covid-19 Programming

During this period, we follow the recommendations and guidelines from the Public Health Officials including that of Madison and Dane County and the current Order.

Effective August 19, 2021 at 12:01am, face coverings are required among people ages two and older when in any enclosed space open to the public where other people, except for members of the person’s own household or living unit are present. See Face Covering Emergency Order and the news release for details. This order is in effect until September 16, 2021.

Each of our facilities has their own Covid-19 policies. This is especially important to review for entering and exiting. For more details on each facility’s policy during this time, visit the individual links within Locations section of our website.

In general -

  • Mask must be worn at all times inside our facilities except when in the water.
  • Parents are currently not allowed in the facilities during practice.
  • We recommend all swimmers come in their suits ready-to-swim. Restrooms are available to change if necessary.
  • All personal items should be brought onto the pool deck and spaced appropriately.
  • Swimmers should always remain socially distanced when entering/waiting/exiting the pool.
