SWIM TEAM EVALUATIONS

Our Fall/Winter group evaluations have concluded

Thank you for your interest in the Madison Aquatic Club!  Please contact Janis Katz to arrange an evaluation. Evaluations  are helpful in order to enable the coaches to accurately assess every swimmer who has interest in registering with the MAC.  This is done in both the best interest of the athlete and the coaching staff, so that the placement of each athlete in his/her level is done with purpose, intention and with the respect given to each athlete’s individual success.

Most of the seasonal information can be found on this page and within the "Swim Team" tab on our website.

JOIN THE TEAM

Our goal is to help nurture athletes to develop confidence, respect, discipline and dedication that will help them be successful in life. We provide swimmers of all ages and abilities the opportunity to participate in the sport and to provide a lifelong enjoyment of swimming.

Minimum requirements to join the beginning swim team group is the ability to swim 25 yards freestyle and 25 yards backstroke. We have a variety of options for swimmers of all abilities. If you are unsure if your child is ready for the swim team, email Janis Katz, MAC Business Manager at [email protected] for more information and/or to set up an evaluation.

Fall/Winter Tentative Practice Schedule

This schedule is to be used as a guide and listed as “tentative”. We strive to provide a consistent schedule year-round; however, we rent from several facilities and there are situations that come up during the season that can alter the schedule such as home swim meets, MAC meets, Badger games and MSCR lessons programming. We do not anticipate many changes once the season starts, but do want to you be aware of the possibility. During the season, the daily practice schedule is always posted and updated in real time on the MAC website within the Team Calendar/Practice section of our website. The online schedule can be synced to your personal calendar.

Meet Schedule - The "X" on the schedule is intended to note the meet recommended for a specific group. The coaches thoughtfully select meets for each group for appropriateness and when they are during the training cycle for competitiveness.

Program Fees - Seasonal Fees are linked here. Please read the information below for more detail regarding fees.

Group Levels -  MAC’s philosophy is centered around long term athlete development. With this philosophy, our athletes have experienced much success. Each group has a progression plan to help swimmers reach their goals and succeed.

MAC's Covid-19 Programming
