VOLUNTEER COORDINATORS

Coordinates and oversees all 80+ volunteer positions and makes sure that they are filled for each home meet.  Oversees volunteer check-in.  May need to be present throughout the meet to troubleshoot and move volunteers as needed.   

SOCIAL COMMITTEE COORDINATOR (1-2 positions)

Plans, coordinates and oversees social and special events for the team, including the end-of-year banquet.  This year we would like to plan for more events, including age-group specific events (such as movie nights and lock-ins), special dinners (such as a pasta dinner before State), and parents night.

CONCESSIONS COORDINATOR (1 position)

Inventory and organize food for concessions.  Keep track of what is selling.  Make shopping lists for coaches to pick up items.  Come up with menu for hospitality and work with volunteer coordinators for member sign-up to donate items

HEAD OFFICIAL (1 position)

The Head Official arranges for the officials training classes and finds officials to volunteer for all home swim meets. Other clubs may contact YDC for officials and Head Officials to meet their needs.

SCORING COORDINATOR (1 position)

The Scoring Coordinator must be familiar with the rules and procedures for scoring a swim meet.  He/she will oversee head scorers to make sure they have sufficient training. 

AWARDS COORDINATOR (1 position)

The Awards coordinator is responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory of awards on hand and also making a list of what needs to be ordered for meets.  THis list can be given to coaches who will place the order.

SUPPLIES COORDINATOR (1 position)

Inventory and organize the current meet supplies (other than food or awards). The person in this position will also organize the area at the YMCA where the supplies are kept.  If at all possible, this volunteer should  be present at the the YMCA after the conclusion of the meets,  so that items are stored in an organized fashion for the following meet.  At the end of the meet, inventory what has been used and make a list for coaches of any needed items for upcoming meets.
