Good Afternoon Team! Here is the info for the week:

  • Monday, October 15: 1st night of October Developmental Group
  • Th, Oct 18: NO PRACTICE - Timers needed!
  • Normal practices the rest of the week.

  • Friday, October 12: Apparel orders through River City Stitch DUE
  • Wednesday, October 17: Sign up to time at the HS Girls meet

DUE TODAY!!! Don't miss out on getting some awesome RFSC swag! Orders are due tonight. I will pick them all up and distribute them, hopefully on November 2.

This Thursday, October 18, the high school girls team has their last home meet of the season. It is a non-conference invite with Tartan - Coach Michael's high school team. We still need timers! Get a front row seat for what is sure to be a great meet! It would be awesome to have a huge group of RFSC timing AND in the stands cheering on our RFHS team, most of which are RFSC swimmers. The meet starts at 5:30pm and should go fast. Timers need to be in the pool office by 5:10pm.

(The link to the meet page is hyperlinked in the "HOME MEET" title.) The meet information packet is at the bottom of the page under "Forms/Documents"  (In the image, it is circled in red.)

  • SWIMMERS: Please declare if you will be attending or not (in the image, it is the button by the blue arrow). If you are unsure, feel free to wait until after our mini-meet (info below) and decide then! We have 27 swimmers signed up so far. We would like to see that number up around 50!
  • VOLUNTEERING: This is our volunteering opportunity! Get signed up ASAP!  (In the image, it is the button by the green arrow.) Most jobs have a short description. There are more detailed descriptions here. Please don't let any job scare you away. Just ask questions. We need ALL positions filled to run a successful meet. And with many positions, we simply cannot start the meet until the position is filled. Remember, each family must sign up for at least 2 positions to complete their requirement. Many families go above and beyond to help out the team so we do not have to hire help.

Plan to be at practice on Tuesday, October 23. We will have our mini-meet for our team. We set up the pool just like a regular meet and run everything like a meet, but we will not be doing disqualifications for illegal strokes. The times also do not "count" towards future meets since this is not an official meet. We like to give swimmers a chance to see what participating in a meet is like with only their teammates and in their own pool. Information and registration for this will come out next week.

Have a great weekend,
