SENIOR ELITE (SrE) 

Senior Elite includes experienced and highly committed high school and college swimmers. Swimmers in Senior Elite are expected to be at every practice and compete at all meets they are eligible for. Swimmers in SrE can expect to average 6,000+ yards in a practice. Swimmers in SrE will train a healthy dose of all four strokes. Swimmers are accepted into this group at the discretion of the head coach based on the individual’s training ability and commitment. Training includes weekly yoga and dryland sessions. 

Required Equipment: Laguna Fins, Paddles, Kickboard, Pull-buoy, Snorkel, Mesh Equipment Bag, Water Bottle

Typical Practice Commitment: 2-2.5 hours per day, 6 days per week.

SENIOR (Sr)

Senior includes high school swimmers willing to make the commitment to regular practice and meet attendance, but are not yet ready to handle Senior Elite training sets. Senior swimmers can expect to average 5,500-6,000+ yards per practice. Swimmers are accepted into this group at the discretion of the head coach based on the individual’s training ability and commitment. Training includes weekly yoga and dryland sessions. 

Required Equipment: Laguna Fins, Paddles, Kickboard, Pull-buoy, Snorkel, Mesh Equipment Bag, Water Bottle

Typical Practice Commitment: 2-2.5 hours per day, 6 days per week.

JUNIOR (Jr)

Junior typically includes 13 & 14 year old swimmers. Swimmers in the Junior group can expect to average 4,500-5,500 yards per practice. In addition to developing all 4 strokes and refining technique, swimmers in this group are introduced to stroke rates and tempo, race strategy and splitting, and building their aerobic base. Swimmers are accepted into this group at the discretion of the head coach based on the individual’s training ability and commitment. Training includes weekly yoga and dryland sessions.

Typical Practice Commitment: 1.5-2 hours per day, 5 days per week.

AGE GROUP GOLD (AGG)

Age Group Gold typically includes 11-13 year old swimmers. AGG looks to improve technique on all 4 strokes, introduce complex training sets, and begin to build their aerobic capacities. Swimmers are accepted into this group at the discretion of the head coach based on the individual’s training ability and commitment. Training includes weekly yoga and dryland sessions.

Typical Practice Commitment: 1.25-1.5 hours per day, 4 days per week.

AGE GROUP SILVER (AGS)

Age Group Silver typically includes 8-11 year old swimmers. The main emphasis in Age Group Silver is improving technique on all strokes, starts, and turns. Training sets are introduced in AGS. Younger swimmers may be accepted into Age Group Silver at the discretion of the Head Coach based on the individual's training ability, commitment, and attendance.

Typical Practice Commitment: 1-1.25 hours per day, 3 days per week. 

Meets: Mandatory    Practice: Highly Encouraged

 

AGE GROUP BRONZE (AGB)

Age Group Bronze typically includes 8 & Under swimmers plus all 9-12 year old swimmers who are proficient in Freestyle and Backstroke but may not be legal in Butterfly and Breaststroke. The main points of emphasis in AGB are improving Freestyle and Backstroke technique and introducing Butterfly and Breaststroke along with all starts and turns. No prior competitive swimming experience is necessary.

Typical Practice Commitment: 45 minutes - 1 hour per day, 3 days per week.

PRE-COMPETITVE SWIM CLASS (PCSC)

PCSC typically includes swimmers 12 & Under with no prior competitive swimming experience. Swimmers must be able to complete 25 yards (one length of the pool) of Freestyle or Backstroke to be eligible for PCSC. PCSC is designed to introduce the athlete to competitive swimming and create a bridge between swim lessons and competitive swimming. The emphasis is on refining Freestyle and Backstroke technique, starts, and turns. Once proficient in Freestyle and Backstroke along with the starts and turns, swimmers will be moved to Age Group Bronze for the remainder of the session at no extra cost.

Required Equipment: Fins (Laguna Fins recommended), goggles

Typical Practice Commitment: 45 minutes per day, 2 days per week.
