Town Hall Recap & RSVP Notes

Michael White

Thanks to everyone who attending tonight’s Town Hall.  If you were unable to attend, here’s the link to the video.

What Do I Do Now?

Now that you have as much knowledge about the upcoming session as we do, decide whether or not you want to take part in the October 18-December 19th Storm session.

Option 1: RSVP

If you want a spot saved for you, RSVP.  It’s a $100 non-refundable deposit.  Meaning, after the schedule and groups are released Thursday evening, that $100 will pay for a portion of your registration.  But, if after seeing how the groups have shaken out you decide not to register, you won’t get the $100 back.

Option 2: Opt Out

After seeing the plan if you don’t plan to swim, go to this link and answer 2 pieces.  Done.

How Do I RSVP?

Log onto the team website, scroll down to event registration, and register the way you would for a meet or other event.

Ok, I RSVPed—now what?

The RSVP window closes 2am Thursday morning.  I’ll look at all those interested, all those uninterested, and make changes to the first draft of my groups & schedule.  That will go out to everyone Thursday.  Then you’ll know what group your swimmer would be in, what times and where they’d practice, etc.

So, the schedule came out and it looks good—how do I register for the session?

Registration will open for those that RSVPed starting Friday.  No rush to get up early, your spot is guaranteed.

What if the schedule doesn’t work for me?  What are my options?

Due to the limited time/space we have, there aren’t a lot of options.  Simply don’t register Friday, and please tell Coach White not to expect your registration.

If my swimmer is new to Storm, when can they join?

Registration will open Sunday for new swimmers. If you haven’t had your swimmer evaluated yet, you’ll need to do that ASAP.  We will fill empty spots on the team with prospective new swimmers, but we won’t create additional groups.

There’s not enough time in this schedule for my swimmer.  Is there a chance we see more?

We’ll make every attempt to secure all the pool time each swimmer needs.  The 1 day-2 day-3 day groups may change based on how many people RSVP.  If the time is available and it makes sense, we’ll do our best to make it work.

This is a lot of money.  Are there payment options?

Yes, we will have the option for families to pay in installments

Are there refunds?

We’ll look at case by case situations.  If a facility closes due to COVID or we can’t staff practices, we will look at how best to make things right with our families, our customers.
