Before moving to Wisconsin, Michael spent two successful years as the Head Age Group Coach and Masters Coach for the Razorback Aquatic Club AquaHawgs in Springdale, Arkansas.  There he was named the 2014 Arkansas Swimming Age Group Coach of the Year.  His swimmers have broke team, state, and LSC records and placed in the top 10 in the nation for their age.  Several of his swimmers have qualified for the Central Zone Age Group Championships and Speedo Sectional Championships and several earned NCSA Junior National & USA Swimming Futures cuts.  During this time, the AquaHawgs saw their greatest national rank, #287 among all teams in the United States.  In addition, the club went from USA Level 2 recognition to USA Level 3.  Michael was a member of the 2013 Arkansas Zone Team coaching staff (Topeka, KS).

Huntington Y Charleston Aquatic Team (2010-2012)

Prior to coaching the AquaHawgs, Michael was the head coach for the HYCAT program in Huntington, West Virginia (2010-2012) where he earned the 2012 West Virginia Age Group Coach of the Year Award. During this time, the team doubled in size and had regional, zone, and YMCA National qualifiers. HYCAT of Huntington produced several Southern Zone swimmers during his two years at the helm and HYCAT won 4 state championships during his time there.  Michael was the 2012 Southern Zone Team Head Coach (Rockwall, TX), the 2012 West Virginia Open Water Select Camp Head Coach, and an assistant coach for the 2011 Southern Zone Team (Cary, NC)

John Marshall High School Monarchs (2005-2010)
