The 2021 Mid State All Star Meet, originally set for January and postponed until spring, has now been officially cancelled.  We fully expect to have a full selection and staff for the January 2022 meet.

Team Wisconsin will be participating in the Mid-States All Star Meet against the best and brightest stars from Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, and Ohio.

The meet will take place January 4th and 5th, 2020 at IUPUI in Indianapolis.  The team will be comprised of a select group of swimmers in the 10-under, 11-12, and 13-14 age groups.

Consideration for the Team

14-under girls that achieve a AA time and 14-under boys that achieve a A time during the qualifying period may send in an application to be considered for the meet.  This year's qualifying window is September 1st, 2019 through December 15th, 2019.  Times may be achieved at any USA Sanctioned or approved/observed meet (approved meets would include some YMCA competitions; observed meets would include season-ending high school meets).  In order to be considered for the team, your swimmer must be available for both days of competition.

NOTE: Boys currently in their freshman year of high school have been deemed ineligible to compete in this meet by the WIAA.  The words "All Star" in the meet disqualify them from being able to compete, as it's not a meet eligible for everyone.

Applying for the Team

The application process runs from November 1st through December 15th.  Simply register for the zone team by clicking the giant yellow button on the home screen and you've applied.

Meet Selection and Entries

Following the close of applications, the coaching staff will look at the top qualifying times from all applicants.  The top 4 individuals will be selected for each individual (with the exception of the 1650); A&B relays will also be selected from the times.  Individuals may swim up to 6 individual events for the weekend.

We'll take into consideration all times achieved since September 1st of LAST YEAR (2018) for selecting events.  From there, we'll take the top 4, factoring in things like back to back events, easy versus hard entry lineups, etc.

The total cost for the weekend is $75.00.

Wisconsin Zone Team Manager

Angela Monty

After being an athlete, coach, and parent of an athlete, it is my honor to represent Team Wisconsin as the team manager.  The incredible experiences and memories that I have gained from swimming have inspired me to continue to participate in this lifelong sport.  Looking forward to seeing many happy Team Wisconsin swimmers.
