In 1969, the Cincinnati Marlins moved to Keating Natatorium with a nationally ranked water polo team men’s and women’s team competing in the National Championships in 1970 and hosted the National Championships for the next few years. In 2016, the program was revitalized at historic Keating Natatorium as the home pool with the same goal that defines our swimming program: compete nationally at all age levels.

The Cincinnati Marlins is a year round water polo program offering positive growth training on the highest level as well as instructing younger coaches on best practices for becoming a successful coach. The program integrates collegiate players to mentor its youth programs.

Upon returning, the Marlins have once again made a national presence through competing in National tournaments such as the Junior Olympics with USA Water Polo as well as National State Challenge with American Water Polo. More regionally it hosts one of the top summer tournaments with the Jose Cerda Memorial Tournament as well as competing in the Great Lakes Zone League and Great Lakes Classic Tournament.

It’s main goal on player development has lead to host two major Cincinnati Camps, the Nike 5 Meter camp with Olympian Genai Kerr and the Cage Cap Goalie Camp with Tom Rea as well as running groups for both boys and girls ages 8-18.
