Erica Martins TI&II - Lead Coach
Hello EBSC fam! My name is Erica Martins and I am honored to be a part of the coaching staff at Elmbrook. I will be working with senior I/II and the AGT groups. I'm excited to work with the seniors because as a collegiate swimmer I really learned a lot about the mental aspect of swimming and how to control your thoughts/emotions leading up to big meets - this is crucial for senior swimmers so I'm excited to share some of my wisdom with them. On the flip side, I adore kids and I really enjoy working with them, so I'm excited to coach AGT. I really want to instill in them proper technique so they can have a solid foundation for their swimming career, and I want them to have fun and enjoy swimming. Loving the water is the top priority for these kids!
I've been a swimmer for 12 years. I swam for the YMCA at Pabst Farms, then moved to Schroeder, and then continued my swimming career at Valparaiso University (located in northern Indiana). I have a passion for swimming and I've gained so much knowledge about the sport that I now want to pass on to the next generation of swimmers. On top of coaching I will be working as a nurse in the Milwaukee area. I'm excited for what my future holds and I'm especially excited to be a part of your child's swimming journey.
