We Teach Kids to Swim for Health, Safety, Fitness & Fun

SwimAmerica is a state of the art learn to swim program in the world today. Brought to you by the same people who have brought you the most successful sport team on the planet... the USA Olympic Swimming Team. What we learn teaching people to set world records, we use to teach new swimmers to enjoy swimming with the best techniques in the world... just like the development of great cars and trucks from the NASCAR and INDY car races. We learn from and teach the elite athlete AND the new child!

SwimAmerica Pre-School and School Age Swim Lessons: New swimmers will be evaluated at their first class and then assigned to a station based on swimming ability. Each station focuses on a few advancement goals, and once mastered a swimmer is moved to the next station. Our pre-school lesson is for 3 - 4 year olds.  Stations 1 - 10 are for school age children (5 - 18).  Pre-school children will work on the same skill progression but in a smaller group, and will more than likely stay with the same teacher, rather than move to a new station/teacher.  Parents are not in the water for any of our lessons regardless of age.

Middle School and High School Training!  (Replaces our Fitness & Technqiue group beginning Fall 2019).  Swimmers must be 11 years old. Designed for middle and high school aged swimmer who wants to develop their competitive swimming skills without the more rigorous swim team schedule.

Updated Operating Procedures

Locker room update (as of October 5, 2020):

Starting next week, October 5, we will allow locker room access AFTER lessons only.  A few notes on this change:

  • Swimmers must arrive in their suit, no locker room access will be available before each lesson.
  • Locker rooms will be available for 5 minutes after each lesson.  No showering, the locker rooms will only be available to change into dry clothes.
  • Please limit parents and siblings in the locker rooms.  If you must enter the locker room you must be of the same sex, wear your mask and be able to social distance.
  • Anyone 5 and older must enter the same sex locker room (boys must use the boys locker room, girls must use the girls locker room). Or use the bathrooms in the hallway across from the pool.
  • If we have problems we will have to restrict access.  Stress the importance of following the rules with your swimmer that will be in the locker room alone.
  • Everyone must leave the pool deck and clear all personal belongings immediately after the lesson so the next class can enter.  If you must go in the locker room with your young swimmer(s) you will take everything with you and exit through the back locker room door.  You will not be allowed to return to the pool deck after using the locker room.
  • Swimmers using the locker rooms will also be required to exit through the back locker room door.
  • Parents must wait in the hallway for swimmers that are using the locker room.
  • When exiting through the back of the locker rooms turn right into the that hallway, and then right again to get to the main entrance/exit.
  • Our Safe Sport and Athlete Protection Programs recommend that coaches/instructors do NOT enter the locker rooms.  If we must enter we will do so with two coaches of the same sex.
