CCS will be selecting an All-Star team of 11-14 year olds to participate the CCS sponsored, USA Swimming Select Camp in Clovis, CA, April 18-19, 2020. Parents will check-in their athletes on deck at Clovis North Aquatic Center on Saturday at 1:00pm, April 18. USA Swimming released their Club Excellence results, this past week, and Clovis Swim Club (Clovis, CA) was again honored as a Silver Medal Club! The rankings are based on a "power points" score that used by USAS, which observed Clovis Swim Club as the 37th rankded team in USA Swimming. Atlanta, GA - 2019 Toyota US Open, December 3 - 7, 2019: Eight CCS members competed at the US Open. Three swimmers representing Clovis Swim Club and 5 swimmers representing Fresno State Women's Swim Team. Leading the way for CCS swimmers was Ugne Mazutaityte (Fresno State), placing 6th in the 200 backstroke. The Central California House of Delegates met in Clovis, CA to discuss and determine policy changes, rule implementation, and governance approvals for the 2019-2020 season. The following issues all met determination based on the CCS agenda: Indian Wells Valley was granted approval to pursue transferring membership from CCS to SCS. The 2020 meet schedule was approved. CCS and USA Swimming offer a reduced registration fee for athletes from low-income families. The purpose of this program is to provide competitive swimming opportunities to the underrepresented and economically disadvantaged youth in the United States. The Outreach Program reduces the annual membership fee an athlete pays to $7.00. Complete the Athlete Information section and either Section A-Proof of Income or Section B-Proof of Assistance and submit with the required documentation and membership application. USA Swimming Member clubs are required to implement the USA Swimming Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy (MAAPP) in full by June 23, 2019. Many teams will have to update their travel policies to accommodate these changes.
