Katelyn Darrah hit her first 2 Regional times of the year at the Feb. Divisionals in Anacortes! She made the 100, and 200 breaststroke with phenomenal swims to win both of them. Many Mighty Marlins had Multiople top 6 finishes at the NWAC Valentine Meet in Oak Harbor. Emma Betancourt led the way with 8 top 6 finishes, Evan Wold contributed 7 including 1 victory. Evan Wold hit his first Age Group Regional qualifying time of the season this weekend by swimming a quick 2:30.48 in the 200 butterfly. The swim was 1 of 7 best times for Evan at the meet. Ten Marlins battled in events that had as many as 470 swimmers at the Washington Open in Federal Way. The meet draws teams from all over the country and is very competetive. Isaac Giordano managed 3 finals in the meet taking 7th in the 200 fly, 11th in the 100n fly, and 14th in the 200 breast. Karlie participoated in the TYR Pro Series Swim Meet in Knoxville Tennessee the weekend of Jan. 17-20. Karlie swam an impressive 2:19.79 in the 200 fly finishing 27th in a very strong field that included many current, and future, Olympians. Karlie also competed in the 200 backstroke and 100 butterfly and did very well in both. Way to Represent Karlie!

Twenty Four Marlins contributed to a great weekend in Federal Way! Isaac Giordano led the way making finals in all 6 of his events and swimming spectacular relay lead off legs. Jetlynn Hau hit finals in 4 events with a second place finish in the 200 breaststroke. Karlie Rimat and Sakura Gabor made top 16 in 2 events and Madelynn Butler and Katelyn Darrah broke into the top 16 in 1 event each. Isaac Giordano and Jetlynn Hau both made finals at the Winter Junior National Championships. Jetlynn swam a 1:03.14 in the 100 breaststroke to make finals and ended up placing 21st in the fastest meet for swimmers 18 & under in the world. Isaac Giordano dropped 3 seconds in the 200 fly to clock a very impressive 1:48.45 which made finals where he took 22nd overall. Both swam great in this very high level meet. They also met a Pelican named Perky, along the way!

The Mighty Marlins had 108 top 12 finishes at the Divisional Champs in our beloved Marysville. Emma Betancourt, Amelia George, Katelyn Leary, and Ryker Lichtenberg led the way with 6 top 12 finishes each.
