Welcome to the 2019-2020 Season!

Jason Davis

Hello MESA Families!

I want to welcome you all to the new 2019-2020 Short Course Season! I want to call your attention to a few items as we kick off this Olympic year!

  1. New MESA website!  This site is now mobile friendly with a cleaner look than the old & outdated site.  I hope you like it!  If you notice any issues with the website, please email coachjason@mesaaquatics.com.

  2. Regular Practice schedule resumes:
    • Bronze:  6-7pm M-F, No Saturday practices
    • Silver:  6-7:15pm M-F, Saturday 8-9:30am
    • Gold:  6-7:30pm M-F, Saturday 8-9:30am
    • Sr. Development:  6-8pm M-F, Saturday 8:00am - 10:15am
    • Sr. Elite:  6-8pm, Saturday 8:00am - 10:15am

*Special Note about Saturday Practice for 12-Unders:  Swimmers are in school with early bed times and early wake-up calls. MESA Aquatics offers Saturday morning practices to allow your children more time at home with family during the week and to focus on school.

For instance:  Let's say your child is in the Silver or Gold group and wants to practice/train 4 days/week.  Saturday practice allows your child to swim 3 days during the school week, thus allowing 2 days off during the school week to be with family and to focus on homework. In addition, swimming at practice on Saturday morning allows your child to get acclimated to swimming fast early in the morning, which is typically when most athletes compete, depending on the meet.

  3. MESA Hosted Tri-Meet - Saturday only - 9/28.
    • Please sign-up your child before the deadline.
    • You must be logged in to your account, click on "Edit Commitment" for the appropriate meet, then declare yes/no.
    • Coaches will place your child into their event(s).
    • If you have preferences, please place your preferences into the notes section when making your declaration.

  4. MESA Banquet - Saturday, 10/5
    • See email from Vice President Debbie Koepke for more info
    • Tickets must be purchased to attend
    • All swimmers on the roster may attend, even if you did not swim last season (Sept 2018 - August 2019).
  5. The Process
    • Swimmers wanting to know/understand what it takes to be successful in life and swimming, need to check out "The Process" information under the "Swimming 101" menu option.

  6. Please check out our Sponsors on the Home Page.
    • Special Note about Speedo:  We are a Speedo outfitted team. We will have a new Team Supplier very soon (in the coming days), so please make sure to purchase all your equipment and suits from the link we provide in the near future. Team suits are required for competition, so as soon as we have the site linked on ours, we will let you know so you can get your orders in.
    • If you would like to be a sponsor of MESA Aquatics, reach out to President@mesaaquatics.com for more info.

Thank you for trusting your children with MESA Aquatics. It is an honor and privilege to serve every family on our team!

Swim fast!
