USA Swimming with the Seals

All Seals swimmers may also participte in USA Swimming if they choose.  If you are unsure if USA swimming is right for your child, please see Coach Mike B. for additional information.  Please remember that USA meets are not required.  If your swimmer is USA registered they may participate in as many USA meets as the Y offers for the season, in addition to the offered YMCA Dual meets.  YMCA meets will always be the priority over USA, as we are first and foremost, a YMCA team. There are additional fees to participate in USA Swimming and Meets. Y coaches will attend a USA meet when more than 3 - 4 Y Seals USA swimmers register for a USA meet that is posted on the Seals event board.

Fees involved for USA meets that all USA swimmers may enter:

1. YMCA Program fee for USA swimming for USA meets without qualifying times is an additonal fee on each month's Seals program fee.  Payable to the YMCA before first USA meet.

2. USA Swimming Registration fee for the calendar year - $80.00 payable to the YMCA at the Member Service desk before the first USA meet. Turn in completed MA USA Swimming Registration form to Coach Mike by the posted Deadline.

3. Meet Entry fees- for each meet you participate in. Entry fees amount varies per meet. Payable through the Team Unify Billing System prior to meet deadline.

Fees involved for USA Qualifying meets that ONLY USA swimmers with times may enter :

1. Qualifying/Championship times USA meets - an additional YMCA Program Coach fee may be charged for each meet a coach attends; fee will vary based on meet location and number of swimmers attending.

2.  Meet Entry fees- for each meet you qualify for and sign up in. E ntry fe es vary per meet. Payable through the YMCA of Vineland Seals Team Unify Billing  System prior to meet entry deadline.

If your swimmer wishes to also swim as a USA Swimmer, you complete the following steps:

1)  Stop at the YMCA Member Service or pay online through the YMCA website - www.ccaymca.org and pay the USA Swimming Registration fee - $80.00.

2)  Complete the USA Registration form, located  on the Seals bulletin board in the hallway outside the pool deck.

3)  Turn in the completed USA Swimming Registration form at the Y Member Service desk with your USA Swimming Registration fee of $80.00. Ask the Member Service desk to put the USA Swimming Registration  form in "Coach MIke B's" mailbox behind the member Service desk or give it to Coach Mike. 

After registration is complete, you can register your child for USA Swim Meets on our YMCA of Vineland Seals website(Team Unify) using the same procedure as you would for a Dual YMCA meet.

**No USA Registrations can be processed without the YMCA USA monthly USA Swimming Program fee to the Y being paid first.
