The Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club kicked off the competition swim season; racing in the 2021 Fall Breakout Swim Meet, October 16 & 17, 2021 – Regina, SK. The Goldfins were represented by 47 swimmers competing in 306 individual events. The Goldfins posted 117 NEW Swim Saskatchewan Provincial Short Course Qualifying Time Standards. The Saskatoon Goldfins swimmers raced in the first meet on the Goldfins competition calendar. The Goldfins Fall 11 & Under Swim Meet was offered to the Goldfins competitive swimmers ages 7 – 11 years. Swimmers gained competitive experience, posting new and improved times in a variety of events. Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club will be competing in the first Saskatchewan swim meets of the 2021 – 2022 swim season. The Goldfins will be competing in two swim meets - October 15 - 17, 2021. On Saturday, June 26, 2021 the Goldfins proudly co-hosted the first swim meet held in Saskatchewan in fourteen long months. The Goldfins and the Saskatoon Lasers Swim Club, hosted 128 swimmers who competed in this sanctioned competition.. Goldfins’ Blake Tierney broke two (2) Provincial Senior Male Short Course Records and two Goldfins Club Records in the 50M Backstroke (25.00) and in the 50M Breaststroke (28.11) events. Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club Swimmers of the Month - January 2021 Lauren Anderson has been a dedicated member of the Goldfins Gold 14 training group this season. During the month of January 2021, Lauren challenged herself to numerous ways including her performance in the Group’s Aerobic Threshold training sets. At the G14 January 2021 Coaches Dual, Lauren posted her first unofficial 13 Year AA Provincial Time Standard in the 50M Backstroke.
