Goldfins Break 6 Records at the Ontario Junior International 2019
Goldfins’ Maclaren Burwell, Blake Tierney, and Angelo Pallaro joined Team Sask members to compete in the Ontario Junior International 2019, December 13 – 15, 2019. Blake Tierney broke the Boys 15 – 17 - 200M IM Provincial Short Course Record that dates back to 1993. Blake posted a time of 2:03.46, picking up the Bronze Medal in the event. Blake was also a member of the Team Sask’s 4 X 200M Freestyle Relay Team along with Michael McGillivray (RODS), Matthew Syrgiannis (RODS), and Goldfins Angelo Pallaro who broke the Boys 15 – 17 Short Course Record, dating back to 2005 with a new time of 7:29.41. This relay team won the Bronze Medal in this event.
Blake also set new Male 15 – 17 Goldfins Club records: 200M Freestyle, 200M & 400M Individual Medley Events. Angelo Pallaro broke the Goldfins Male 15 – 17 – 800M Freestyle Short Course Record that dates back 10 years, with a time of 8:26.41.
These Goldfins swimmers posted a total of 16 personal best short course times. Congratulations to Angelo Pallaro for posting 100% short course personal best times at this meet.

The Goldfins will be back in action at the following meets: Goldfins Christmas Time Trial - December 19, 2019 (Blue 14, Blue 18, Gold 14, Gold 16, and Gold 18 Groups) and at the Prairie Optimist Cup – January 17 – 19, 2019 – (W1 – 3 Groups: Saturday, January 18, 2019)
