Goldfins Post Over 300 Long Course Personal Bests at the 2020 Prairie Optimist Cup
This past weekend, the Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club members competed in the first Long Course meet of the season. The Club was 69 strong on deck at the 2020 Prairie Optimist Cup in Regina, SK, January 17 – 19, 2020. The Goldfins had a very successful competition, posting 339 personal best long course times, with 28 Goldfins posting 100% personal best times.

The Goldfins added two swimmers to their Provincial Teams this past weekend. Spencer Nave posted his first Saskatchewan AA Long Course Qualifying Time Standard in the 50M Breaststroke, 42.72. Spencer will join the Goldfins Senior Provincial team that will be competing in the upcoming 2020 Spring Long Course Senior Provincial Championships (Man/SK), Winnipeg, MB. Landon Kennedy posted his first Saskatchewan A Long Course Qualifying Time Standard and his first Saskatchewan Future Stars Long Qualifying Time Standard by posting a new time of 38.04 in the 50M Freestyle. Landon will join the Goldfins Junior Provincial Team that will be competing in the 2020 Junior Provincials (March 2020 – Moose Jaw, SK)
