Team Sask High School All Stars Place 3rd at the 1st Prairies College Cup

Saskatoon Goldfins swimmers joined the Saskatchewan High School All Stars Team to compete in the 1st Prairies College Cup, January 31 – February 2, 2020, Regina, SK.  Team Sask came in third place in this meet that featured events for Canadian University swimmers as well as the team representing Manitoba High School All Stars swimmers. 

The Goldfins swimmers participating in this meet posted 10 New Saskatchewan Short Course Time Standards.

Saskatchewan AA Short Course Qualifying Time Standards:

Ehtan Hemeon           100 & 200 Freestyle

Andrew Nghiem          50 Backstroke & 1500 Freestyle

Angelo Pallaro            50 & 200 Fly, 400 IM

Blake Tierney             200 Fly

Shanna Tierney          50 Breaststroke

Nathan Vong              200 Freestyle

The Goldfins swimmers posted 15 new personal best short course times at this meet:

Ethan Hemeon             50, 100, & 200 Freestyle

Andrew Nghiem           50 & 100 Backstroke, 1500 Freestyle

Angelo Pallaro              400 IM, 50 & 200 Fly

Blake Tierney               100 & 200 Breaststroke, 200 Fly

Shanna Tierney            50 Fly & 50 Breaststroke

Nathan Vong                200 & 400 Freestyle

 

Congratulations to Ethan Hemeon for posting the Top Most Improved Event: 200M Freestyle – “-11.32”.

The Goldfins will be back in action at the 2020 Brainsport Winter Classic Long Course Invitational, February 7 – 9, 2020, Shaw Centre, Saskatoon, SK.
