Goldfins June 2022 Swimmers of the Month

Jennifer Robinson

Siarhei Tsyrhanovich (Blue 14) - Siarhei has been such a welcome addition to the Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club.  Siarhei and his family moved to Canada from Belarus in January 2022.  Siarhei joined the Goldfins in March 2022.  During his short time with the Club, he has made great improvements in his aerobic capacity development Freestyle training sets and in his kick test sets.

Siarhei was a member of the Goldfins Cascade International travel team - June 3 - 6, 2022.  At this swim meet, he posted four personal best times and was a member of the two Goldfins relay teams winning a bronze medal in the 4 X 50 Freestyle Relay and a silver medal in the 4 X 50 Medley Relay.  Siarhei raced for the Goldfins Blue Team at the Blue vs Gold meet, placing 1st in the 100M Freestyle and 2nd in the 100M Backstroke, earning 14 Points for his team.

Siarhei brings a positive energy to the Gold 14/Blue 14 training sessions.  He will be joining the Gold 16 training Group for the 2022 – 2023.    Siarhei will be joining the 2022 Goldfins Senior Provincial Team competing in the 2022 Man/SK Summer Provincial Championships - July 7 - 10, 2022 - Shaw Centre, Saskatoon, SK.  He will race the following events: 200M IM, 50M Freestyle, 100M Backstroke, 100M Freestyle, 200M Backstroke, 200M Freestyle and 50M Backstroke.

Добро пожаловать, Siarhei Мы рады видеть вас в нашей команде!

Piper Lejbak (Gold 12) - Piper Lejbak has been a constant beacon of positivity for Gold12 throughout our entire swimming season. She has maintained 90% attendance since September, always entering the pool deck with a smile and enthusiasm for the practice she’s about to do.

Pipers performance through practices and swim meets has been incredible. No matter how tough or long a set is, Piper always finds the fun in swimming it. She’s always wanting to try new things, jumping at opportunities to try events such as the 1500 Free, 400 IM, and even the 200 Fly!

She’s had an amazing season of racing, resulting in multiple AA times and will be finishing the season off strong as she competes at Man/Sask Provincial Championships in July!
