Jennifer Robinson

The Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club is pleased to announce the Goldfins Canadian Swimming Championships Team: Jayden Bilous, Keiran Dyck, Abby Gebhardt, Brayden Hemeon, Ethan Hemeon, Bryce Tierney, and Goldfins Head Coach, Steven Hitchings.  These Goldfins swimmers will be competing against swimmers from 142 clubs across Canada.  This exciting competition will take place at the Centre sportif du Parc Olympique - the 2022 Swimming Canadian Championships – Montreal, QUE – July 25 – 31, 2022.

For these Goldfins swimmers, it will be their first time competing at this Olympic venue.

“Racing at this level, after a long year of training, will be a welcomed change”, said Jayden Bilous, Goldfins senior swimmer.  “Competing along side fellow team mates Brayden and Ethan is going to bring a sense of support and camaraderie.”

Brayden Hemeon who returned from the University of British Columbia (UBCT) to train and to compete with the Goldfins this summer, added, ‘I am looking forward to competing in Montreal.  I have never raced in that venue and look forward to going after my season goals: 2:14.00 (200M Breaststroke, 28.90 (50M Breaststroke), and 1:01.50 (100M Breaststroke).”

When asked what he was looking forward most to attending this competition, Goldfins Ethan Hemeon added, “This is technically off-season training, (USport season concluded April 2022) so I will be focusing on posting personal bests in the 100M and in the 200M Breaststroke.”  Hemeon also returned to the Goldfins Swim Club for summer training.  Ethan attends the University of Victoria, swimming with the Vikes.  “I just want to enjoy the experience and test my training in preparation for the upcoming varsity season.”
